Terms and Conditions of Use

Last updated: October 2026

This is an informative translation. The only binding version is the Spanish one; if the two disagree, the Spanish version prevails. Read the Spanish version.

1. Who provides this service

These details are published under Article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce.

These terms govern the use of Cetra, the mobile app for deciding what to watch on streaming platforms, and of the cetraapp.com website. By downloading the app, creating an account or using either of them, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Minimum age

You must be at least 14 years old to create a Cetra account — the age from which Spanish law allows a person to consent to the processing of their own personal data. If you are younger, your parent or guardian must consent on your behalf.

If we find an account belonging to someone below that age without such consent, we delete it along with its data.

3. Licence and restrictions

We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive licence to install and use the app on your devices, for your own private, non-commercial use.

You may not:

4. Your account

You need an account to use Cetra. You can create one with your email and a password, or sign in with Apple or with Google.

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. If you believe someone else has accessed it, write to us.

You can delete your account and all your data at any time from Settings › Account inside the app. It is immediate and irreversible.

5. What you create: lists and shared collections

Cetra lets you build lists of titles, name and describe them, and share them through a link or a code.

A shared list is public to anyone holding the link. No account and no permission are needed to open it: whoever receives the link or the code can view it, and can pass it on. Do not put anything in the list's title, description or any other text that you would not want seen.

It stays yours. By creating a list you grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, reproduce and display it for the sole purpose of providing you the service: showing it to you and to whoever you choose to share it with. If you take part in a collaboration agreed with us, that licence also covers displaying it in the places within the app we have agreed with you, under your name or your project’s. The licence ends when you delete the list or your account.

You are responsible for what you put in it. You may not use lists to publish unlawful content, content infringing third-party rights, abusive or discriminatory content, other people’s personal data, advertising not agreed with us, or to pass yourself off as someone else.

We do not review lists before they are published. If one breaches the above we may remove it, disable its link or suspend the account, and we will tell you unless the law requires otherwise. To report a specific list, see section 12.

6. Group Mode

Group Mode is for deciding what to watch together with other people. For it to work, the other participants in the group see your identification within it and what you contribute to that session. Do not use a group to share anything you would not want its members to see.

7. Advertising, sponsored content and collaborations

Cetra has a free tier supported by advertising. By using it you accept that third-party ads will be shown, served by Google AdMob, including rewarded ads that unlock specific actions in exchange for watching them.

Some sections of the app feature selections made by third parties we have a collaboration agreement with. Those sections are always visibly labelled, stating who made the selection and that a collaboration exists, as advertising law requires.

No streaming platform, distributor or production company pays to appear in Cetra’s personalised recommendations.

8. Cetra PRO: subscriptions, purchases and promotional access

What it is. Cetra PRO is a paid subscription that unlocks additional features, removes daily usage limits and removes advertising.

Who sells it to you. The purchase is made through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, which act as the seller. The charge is applied to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase.

Renewal. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel it from your account settings in the relevant store, not from the app.

Prices. The applicable price is the one the store shows at the time of purchase, taxes included. We may change prices for future periods; if we do, you will be told before a renewal affects you, and you can always cancel.

Refunds. We do not handle refunds: they are processed by the store that sold you the subscription, under its own policy. This does not limit any rights consumer law gives you, including the right of withdrawal where it applies, which is likewise exercised with the store.

Promotional access. We may grant free access to PRO features on a promotional basis — for instance, to the first users who register. Promotional access is not a subscription: it is a free, revocable grant, it creates no acquired rights, and we may change its scope or withdraw it on reasonable notice. None of this affects a subscription you have paid for.

9. Availability and changes

Cetra is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability: there may be maintenance, incidents at our providers, or outages beyond our control.

We may add, change or remove features to improve the service or for technical, legal or cost reasons. If a paid feature disappears during a period you have already paid for, we will tell you and you will be able to cancel renewal.

If we were to discontinue the service, we would announce it on reasonable notice and stop renewing subscriptions.

10. Accuracy of information and liability

Where the data comes from. Film and TV metadata is provided by The Movie Database (TMDB). Platform availability information and the direct links to those platforms are provided by JustWatch and by the Streaming Availability API by Movie of the Night.

We do not guarantee that availability is accurate in real time. Catalogues and broadcasting rights change constantly and vary by region and by type of offer: a title may be included in a subscription, available only to rent or buy, or have left the catalogue between our last update and your search. We are not liable for those discrepancies.

Recommendations are automated. They are generated by algorithms and artificial-intelligence models from your interactions. We do not guarantee they will match your taste.

Third-party platforms are theirs. Cetra links to streaming services we do not control. We are not liable for their content, prices, availability or terms, and any contract with them is between you and them.

Nothing above excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, in particular liability arising from wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and any rights consumer law grants to users who qualify as consumers.

11. Intellectual property and attribution

The software, brand, name and design of Cetra belong to the provider identified at the start of this document. Nothing you are allowed to do with the app transfers any right over them to you.

Film and TV posters, images and texts belong to their respective owners and are used under third-party licence:

12. Content reports and removal

If you believe content hosted on Cetra — typically a shared list — is unlawful or infringes your rights, write to support@cetraapp.com stating:

We will review the report, reply to you and, where appropriate, remove the content, disable the link or suspend the account. We will also inform the affected person of the decision.

13. Suspension and account closure

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used to harm the service or other users, or where a law or an authority requires it. Except in serious or urgent cases, we will give notice first.

Closing an account for breach does not entitle you to a refund of a subscription period already used.

14. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when the service or the law changes. Changes are published on this page with a new update date, and if they are substantial we will announce them in the app or by email before they take effect. If you do not accept them, you can stop using the service and delete your account.

15. Governing law, consumers and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law.

If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the European Union country where you reside, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of your own domicile. We may bring proceedings against you only before the courts of your domicile.

If you use Cetra as a business or professional, the parties submit to the courts of the city of Zaragoza.

Before going to court, write to us: most things are settled by email. If you are a consumer, you can also turn to the consumer protection bodies where you live.

16. Language of this document

The original and only binding version of these terms is the Spanish one. Versions in other languages are informative translations; if any of them says something different, the Spanish version prevails.
